Do you want to learn about the Olympics but don’t know where to start? I got you! The first Olympics was held in Athens in Greece in 776 BC. The Olympics games had no medals and women could not compete in the Olympics. I am pleased that has changed because my athlete I chose to research is a girl.
Last week we had to choose an Athlete for our Olympics, I chose Fe’ofa’aki ‘Epenisa. She’s a Tongan Athlete. She was the first Tongan Athlete to represent Tonga at the Olympics games. In fact no males have represented Tonga at the Olympics in boxing either. My athlete is 28 years old and she hasn’t won any medals yet.
Great choose Thalia, inspiration from another Tongan athlete aiming to achieve they goals to represent Tonga in the Olympics, gives good inspiration for next generation. A+ for presentation 👍🏼
